DataChambers Buys Qwest Facility in Raleigh

Data center services firm DataChambers is expanding into the Research Triangle market with the purchase of a 50,000 square foot facility on Garner Station Boulevard in Raleigh, North Carolina. The company said it will make a significant investment in infrastructure and upgrades at the building, which was previously occupied by Qwest Communications, with completion expected early in 2013.

DataChambers operates a data center campus in Winston-Salem, where it offers colocation and data storage services. In December the company was acquired by North State Communications, a leading telecom provider in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina. The Raleigh building and eight-acre property doubles DataChambers' footprint, and will offer a variety of outsourced information technology services, from hosted and cloud-based infrastructure solutions to data backup and business recovery services.

“We’ve experienced significant growth in recent years as companies have looked for ways to accomplish more with increasingly limited information technology budgets,” says Nicholas Kottyan, CEO of DataChambers. “We find we are able to offer our clients a level of service and support that would be hard for them to replicate on their own.”
