Healthcare specialist HCA will invest more than $200 million to build a new data center in Antioch, Tennessee, the company said this week. The Nashville-based hospital chain has acquired 55 acres of land where it will begin building a 96,000-square-foot data center this summer. and upgrade its technology as part of an expansion that will create 155 jobs over five years, state and city officials said Wednesday.

Healthcare ig a growth market for IT infrastructure. HCA's Tennessee data center is among a number of new data center facilities being built by hospitals and healthcare IT providers to meet the growing need for advanced IT services to better manage health records and service delivery.
