Colocation and managed hosting provider VISI has purchased a 50,000 square foot building in Eden Prairie, Minnesota for its new headquarters and data center. VISI's new facility will be located in what is known as the Golden Triangle, a business district that is also home to Compellent, Digital River, Fingerhut Direct Marketing and ShopNBC.

"The expanded headquarters represents a significant milestone for VISI," says Mike Sowada, CEO of VISI. "VISI has experienced growth of over 18% a year. The additional space will allow us to keep up with customer demand."

The new Eden Prairie headquarters building located at 10230 70th Street West will quadruple the size of VISI's previous headquarters and provides room to build a world-class data center. VISI said it will also expand its SAS 70 Type II data center located at 180 East 5th Street in St. Paul.

"Business continuity is important to our customers," says Gary Elfert, Director of Sales & Marketing for VISI. "The new location will provide additional geographic redundancy for VISI's customers who require advanced disaster recovery and load balancing services."

The Golden Triangle, located in northeast Eden Prairie, is surrounded by three major highways, it includes over 9 million square feet office, warehouse, and commercial development. Construction on VISI's new offices will begin immediately and the move-in date is scheduled for May, 2008.
