IO is stepping up its effort to become a global provider of modular data center services. Today the company appointed Brent Wouters as Executive Vice President for Global Business Development. Wouters will be responsible for building IO's worldwide partner network, which will include provide opportunities for companies to sell, finance, install and maintain the company's IO Anywhere modular data center products.

"The development of a worldwide partner network for our technology is critical to meeting the current demands of our global customer base," said IO CEO George Slessman. "I am excited by the experience and capability that Brent brings to IO and I have great expectations for him and his team."

IO has previously announced plans to add a data center in Singapore, and recently helped Australian data center service provider Red Cloud deploy data center modules in multiple sites.

Through the partner program, companies resell IO Anywhere modular data centers that can be rapidly deployed to customer sites anywhere in the world. They can also offer IO Anywhere delivered as Data Center as a Service (DCaaS) from either the IO New Jersey or IO Phoenix data centers.

Prior to joining IO, Wouters was the CEO of Cirrus Aircraft, a global aviation company and manufacturer of technologically advanced single-engine airplanes. Brent managed the global expansion of Cirrus Aircraft over the last 10 years and led Cirrus through its successful sale to a Chinese company in 2011. He spent six years as the CFO of Cirrus Aircraft after serving as the CFO of a private equity backed computer services organization.

"IO provides a great opportunity for our partners to drive new revenue sources by offering next-generation modular data center solutions," said Wouters. "Developing a strong global partner network is strategic to our company growth plan and we are committed to helping our partners lead the Data Center 2.0 market in their regions."
