Stanford selects Active Power. Active Power (ACPW) announced that Stanford University will deploy nearly three megawatts of Active Power's high efficiency CleanSource UPS systems at its new Stanford Research Computing Facility (SRCF) in Stanford, California. The efficient 415 volt systems will be delivered in late fourth quarter of 2012 with installation slated for the third quarter of 2013. "One of the inherent benefits of our patented UPS technology is its industry leading energy efficiency," said Doug Milner, president and CEO, at Active Power. "This efficiency translates into a tangible economic benefit as it lowers energy costs which directly impact the customer's bottom line without sacrificing performance. A viable, sustainable product delivered at an overall financial advantage makes for a very compelling offering in today's marketplace."
