Executive hirings: Eaton names Revathi Advaithi as President – Electrical Sector, ExtraHop Networks adds veterans of Isilon Systems, Christopher Opat joins CyrusOne.

Here's an update on some of this week's executive hiring announcements from the data center industry:

Eaton Names Revathi Advaithi President of Electrical Sector - Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation has named Revathi Advaithi president – Electrical Sector, Americas Region. In her new role, effective April 1, Advaithi will be responsible for the company’s electrical business in North, South and Central America. She will oversee manufacturing operations, sales, marketing, technology and product development for 12 divisions and $4.2 billion in revenues. “I look forward to helping guide Eaton’s Electrical Sector to continued growth with our existing and new customers. Eaton’s technology and solution leadership in energy management, electrical power efficiency and sustainability and reliability combined with our customer focused employees has been a powerful engine for growth,” said Advaithi. “I am excited to have the opportunity to lead such a diverse and growing organization.”

ExtraHop Networks Adds Veterans of Isilon Systems - Application performance management specialist ExtraHop Networks said today that Isilon Systems Founder Sujal Patel has joined the company’s Board of Directors, and former Isilon sales executive, Eric Scollard, has been appointed Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales. With the launch of Isilon in 2001, Patel brought groundbreaking technical innovation to the enterprise storage market while Scollard led the Isilon Sales organization from pre-revenue to nearly $100 million annually. Patel and Scollard come to ExtraHop on the heels of significant corporate growth achievements, including the company’s recent EMEA expansion and significant industry innovation recognition.

Christopher Opat Joins CyrusOne - CyrusOne announced that Christopher Opat has joined the company as vice president of corporate IT in Houston. With nearly 20 years of executive IT experience in financial services, Opat most recently served as vice president of JP Morgan’s investment bank and mortgage bank divisions. Opat joined the executive ranks at JP Morgan as an outcome of its merger with Bear Stearns in 2008. Prior roles Opat held at Bear Stearns include managing director and chief technology officer for its mortgage business, EMC Mortgage, where he was responsible for all facets of technology infrastructure from data center through end user. Prior to joining Bear Stearns, Opat served as an infrastructure engineer at Tosco Corporation.
