QTS (Quality Technology Services) today announced the appointment of technology veteran Tesh Durvasula as Chief Marketing and Business Officer. In this role, Durvasula will oversee all aspects of QTS' sales and marketing efforts, as well as becoming a member of QTS’ executive management team.

"Tesh brings extensive sales, marketing, product and investment experience to QTS. He has a great understanding of the data center infrastructure, internet colocation and hosting businesses, and this valuable experience will be very helpful to QTS executing our growth strategy," said Chad Williams, CEO and founder, QTS. "We are pleased Tesh has joined our team."

Durvasula will be based in one of QTS’ New York metro-area locations. He started his career as a vice president of Abovenet with responsibility for the company's hosting business, and then co-founded NYC-Connect, a privately held data center and interconnection business based at 111 8th Avenue.

After the NYC Connect data center and meet-me-room businesses were sold to Digital Realty Trust and Telx in 2007, Durvasula served as Chief Marketing Officer for Telx.

"I am extremely pleased to be joining the QTS executive team,” said Durvasula. “After taking the last six months to review several business opportunities, I feel that QTS’ combination of a state-of-the-art data center infrastructure with a cloud computing and hosting services solution uniquely positioning it for long term success. I am very excited to help this company grow for many years to come."

Durvasula graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Arts. He currently serves on the Board of The Shelter for the Homeless, a 67-bed shelter serving lower Fairfield County in Connecticut.
