How might you overhaul your data center to become more efficient? If you've got a brilliant idea that uses Intel server technology (including the new Xeon 5500), then you can win some prizes in the Intel Data Center Efficiency Challenge. In this video, Lorie Wigle of Intel's Eco-Technology unit discusses the challenge, in which IT professionals can submit video proposals featuring their ideas to improve data center efficiency. One winner in each of two categories – enterprise and small business – will receive a new Intel Xeon processor 5500 series server, an energy efficient netbook or mobile PC, will be flown to San Francisco for the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) and will meet with senior data center experts for consultation on their proposal. This video runs about 1 minute, 30 seconds.
