Posited by Intel co-founder Gordon Moore in 1965, Moore's Law postulates that the number of transistors that can fit inside computer chips doubles approximately every two years. In turn, Moore's Law suggests that the computing power of the average chip will increase at a corresponding rate and the cost businesses pay for processing power will come down.
