Facebook's Armada of Servers, Illustrated
When it named Mark Zuckerberg its Person of the Year, Time got access to one of Facebook's data centers and has put together a photo feature with nine images from inside the equipment area.

We didn't write anything when Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was named Time's Person of the Year. It's a nice honor for Mark and all. But here at Data Center Knowledge we are all about the data centers. And there didn't immediately appear to be any data center ramifications to the "Person of the Year" story.
Not so, as it turns out. As part of its Web coverage, Time got access to one of Facebook's data centers and has put together a photo feature with nine images from inside the equipment area. Which Facebook data center is it? Time says the facility is a short drive from Facebook's headquarters. A shot of the cold-aisle containment system certainly looks like the Santa Clara facility we profiled in November.
