Here’s a roundup of some of this week’s headlines from the data center and hosting industry:
Server Farm Realty announces Washington availability. Server Farm Realty announced on Tuesday that 10,000 square feet and 2MW of data center space in Washington is now available to its customers. The facility, called TiTAN is 136,000 square feet and located in Moses Lake, Washington. Server Farm Realty emerged late last year from Red Sea Group and has projects in Washington, Chicago and Santa Clara. “Energy efficiency is a driving factor in the data center selection process,” Avner Papouchado SFRI president and CEO said in a statement. “TiTAN is comparable to data centers being used by the world’s most profitable technology companies. We’ve pushed the limits of energy efficiency and reduced carbon footprint, while maintaining flexibility for a tenant’s IT deployment. Each element has been selected and purposefully designed to boost our clients’ bottom lines.”
Interxion selected by Metadigm. Interxion announced that Metadigm, the network and end point security specialist, has chosen to deploy its hosted security service in Interxion’s Cloud Hub Community at its City of London data centre. Metadigm looked at their own primary operating market and selected Interxion as the provider that could best assist their expansion throughout Europe. “When it came to deciding on whom to partner with, the choice was very straightforward. Interxion were able to offer the necessary space, power density and flexibility needed to grow our business”, said Jason Simper, Director at Metadigm. The fact that we are one of the only companies offering managed security services at Interxion and that we could tap into its customer base of over 1000 was also a major draw for us.”
Datapipe selected by Serverside Group. Datapipe announced today a service agreement with Serverside Group, the global card customization specialist. Utilizing Datapipe’s turnkey PCI DSS compliance solution, Serverside can now deliver a trusted PCI environment ensuring the security of their clients’ card data. “Datapipe’s robust solution makes rolling out a card customization program so much easier for issuers, as it eliminates integration challenges altogether and gives them the peace of mind that cardholder data is being held securely,” said Tom Elgar, Co-Founder and CTO of Serverside Group.
OneNeck partners with Datapipe. OneNeck IT Services announced today their strategic partnership with Datapipe in order to add a world-class, highly secure, SAS 70 Type II certified facility in New Jersey to their solution portfolio. With the addition of Datapipe's New Jersey location OneNeck can offer data center space to customers for business critical IT. OneNeck customers can access their cloud offering through this Datapipe facility as well. “Our strategic partnership with Datapipe was designed to expand our offerings as we continue to experience increasing demand for our innovative hosted application management and managed hosting solutions,” stated OneNeck CEO Chuck Vermillion. “Valuable partnerships are another key element that enables us to deploy market leading services and Datapipe’s facilities exemplify the high standards we require in our solution offerings.”
