Events: Green Grid Forum, NANOG
The Green Grid and NANOG have set dates for events in the first half of 2008.

Several events were announced this week that may be of interest to data center professionals:
The Green Grid announced Tuesday that it will hold its First Annual Green Grid General Members' Meeting and Technical Forum at the Parc 55 Hotel in San Francisco on February 5-6, 2008. The members meeting will follow the two-day Technical Forum, which will focus on the Green Grid's efforts toward of advancing energy efficiency in data centers. Topics will include The Green Grid's Data Center Metrics and emerging techniques for managing data centers. Members can register at the Green Grid web site.
The North American Network Operators Group has selected sites and dates for its next two education and operational forums. NANOG 42 will be held February 17-20, 2008 in San Jose, California and will be hosted by CRG West. Meet Me Room specialist Telx said it will host NANOG43 from June 1-4, 2008 in New York City. NANOG events are held three times a year and attract over 450 Internet network operators and engineers. The final agenda and venues are still in development. Watch the NANOG web site for details.
