Green Data Center Conference Rolls into Bay Area

The Green Data Center Conference and Exhibition (GDCON) – Bay Area will kick off next Tuesday and go through Thursday at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara. GDCON Bay Area offers data center managers and engineers the opportunity to learn about optimizing data centers through best practices in efficiency innovation, techniques and equipment. Participants will discover the cost-saving benefits of the green data center movement.

A full spectrum of data center design, building and management will be covered throughout the interactive conference experience. Keynote speaker Randy Ortiz, Director of Data Center Design for Internap, will provide an in-depth view into the design and construction of Internap’s Green Globes and LEED certified Silicon Valley data center. He will focus on process of making the facility as energy efficient as possible, including areas such as site selection, development and design as well as ongoing maintenance.
