Two veterans of the optic networking site Light Reading have started Greentech Media, which will provide news coverage of the green technologies market. Today's launch includes a story about the power challenges facing data center operators, which includes quotes from Sun, Dell and Andrew Fanara of the EPA, among others. Greentech looks like a promising addition to our Big List of Green Technology Blogs.

Greentech Media says it will focus on the VC and funding environment for new energy technologies. An example: a story today reports North American "green tech" investment for the first quarter of 2007 totaled $731 million, up 42 percent over the first quarter of last year but short of the $933 in the third quarter of 2006.
