Uptime Institute, a division of The 451 Group, will host the seventh annual Uptime Institute Symposium May 14-17 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, Calif.
A new feature this year is a unique modular data center campus within the convention center, during the exposition May 14 and 15. The campus will include modular units on display and offers visitors the opportunity to walk through the leading modular data center designs and make side-by-side comparisons. Data center vendors Active Power, Digital Realty, IO and Schneider Electric will be on hand to provide guided, in-depth tours and expert briefings on their modular data center units.
The focus of the four-day symposium, featuring more than 120 presentations and sessions, will be Digital Infrastructure Convergence. Data center industry leaders will discuss strategies and best practices for enhancing strategic planning and communication between IT and facilities management.
Three tracks will be offered, covering these main themes:
Data Center Facilities Design and Operation
Enterprise IT Architecture, Operations and Optimization
Cloud Computing, Third-Party Colocation and Hosting Management
Tuesday morning’s keynote presentation will be given by Andrew Stokes, Chief Scientist, Group Technology & Operations Division, Deutsche Bank. He will return to this year’s Uptime Symposium to share key lessons Deutsche Bank learned in its first year operating its Eco Data Center.
