The massive SuperNAP data center was in the spotlight last Thursday evening when it was featured in a report on the CBS Evening News. The story examined the challenges facing the Las Vegas economy due its huge reliance upon casino gaming and tourism, which has led local officials to focus on diversifying the city's economic base. Switch, the colocation company that built the SuperNAP, is being cited as a symbol of the possible growth industries for Las Vegas.
