Colocation and managed hosting provider Galaxy Visions has completed a new 12,000 square foot data center in Brooklyn, New York, the company said this week. Galaxy Visions said the new facility is powered by 2 feeds providing 6 megawatts of power from Con Edison, which are supported by Liebert 225KVA UPS Systems. The company said it has migrated all of its clients to the new facility.
"The minute we saw an opportunity to move our operations to bigger and more advanced location, we knew this was the right move not only for Galaxy Visions but all the clients that continually rely on outstanding service we are known for," said CEO and President Ray Sidler. "We have put great efforts in making this a state of the art facility. We made sure that power supply and bandwidth is abundant, with great emphasis on efficient power management to handle the workload. We have also obtained a lot of dark fiber, to have unlimited connectivity options to multitude of Tier 1 providers."
