Power Assure CTO: Application Reliability is Key

Clemens Pfeiffer, CTO, Power Assure, presented a workshop at AFCOM Data Center World titled, "Disaster Recovery: The New Imperative." He emphasized that the main purpose of the data center is supporting the applications, and the key metric is application reliability. Visibility and automation are also important to efficiency and reliability, he said. Power Assure is partnering with Dell and ABB. The companies help data center managers tie multiple information streams together and achieve better visibility and understanding of their data as well as to be able to leverage automation.
