Managed hosting and cloud services provider LogicWorks has leased space in a Digital Realty Trust data center in Piscataway, New Jersey, the two companies said today. The space was leased using Digital's Turn-Key Flex solution, which provides rapid deployment of finished data center space but allows end users to customize elements of their facility.
"The dramatic growth in SaaS and digital content is placing high demand on cloud service providers like Logicworks," said Michael Foust, Chief Executive Officer at Digital Realty (DLR). "We see the shift to cloud architectures continuing to increase demand for flexible, world-class data center solutions that can accommodate growing companies such as Logicworks. We are very pleased to be partnering with them as their business continues to expand."
"Our clients count on us to deliver highly available and compliant public, private, and hybrid cloud hosting solutions which means our datac enter footprint needs to be of the highest possible standard," said Kenneth Ziegler, Chief Executive Officer of Logicworks. "For our latest domestic expansion, Digital Realty proved to have the best combination of top-tier wholesale space and the business flexibility to work with our time-to-market and ongoing consumption needs."
Digital Realty has several properties in central New Jersey, which has emerged as a competitive market for wholesale data centers, with offerings from DuPont Fabros, Sentinel Data Centers and IO.
Logicworks' customers include major brands including Dow Jones, NBC and 1-800-Flowers.com. In August the company launched a public cloud platform based on Citrix’s Cloudstack platform, featuring monitoring tools from ScienceLogic and storage from EMC Isilon.
